The single beam instrument has high precision within the wavelength range of 190-1100 nm and an adjustable bandwidth of 4 nm, making it ideal for samples with sharp absorption peaks. The switching of tungsten and deuterium lamps is automatic within a selectable wavelength range, and the device includes a four-position cell holder with 10 mm pathlength cuvettes.
